Stormy day on Mt. Humphrey. This picture was taken using the "Dramatic" filter on my camera. We were able to set up our tent just before the deluge of rain and hail started. The lightning was so loud it hurt our ears!
After a stormy night, we woke up to a spectacular, cloud speckled blue sky. It was a short, cross-country hike to Desolation Lake, 11,375 feet high.
After a stormy night, we woke up to a spectacular, cloud speckled blue sky. This is one of my favorite pictures. The mountain range you see I the background is the Glacier Divide. The lake is Lower Desolation Lake. This hike was in July but the flowers were abundant and the inlet was flowing nicely.
